Top ambience, first-class service and excellent cuisine
Unfortunately, I rarely had such a bad experience as in the beer garden of the Restaurant Seespiegel that I would like to comment here on my experience. In summary: unfriendly service, extremely long waiting times, poor service at a 4 star hotel is more questionable. Detailed experience description as follows: we had to wait for more than 20 minutes to assign a place in the half empty beer garden, we were informed by the waitress that we could join a table around the corner as a couple. Your suggestion: we should wait next to the customers still sitting there until this would soon be free (at least 5 tables were free in the restaurant). This has easily surprised us, according to a note to the free tables we were allowed to patty to one of the free tables. At 2.28 p.m. we ask for the cake card, whereupon we were very unfriendly to point out that at the entrance there would be no need for the cake to be ordered from 2.30 p.m. So we had to go to the hotel to pick up our cake there to order it the 15 minutes later. The coffee, which has been ordered by now, was cooled and flooded in the saucer on our seats (also the queue in front of the restaurant became more and more with available tables). After another 30 minutes we got the cake, of course not to enjoy with the coffee together. The ladies at the side table had to leave their flame cake back, as it was served lukecally. Also there: long waiting times and unfriendly handling. The non-strong utilisation of the place could have been absolutely tied with the college under normal circumstances, even if the College had been overwhelmed, the way of dealing with the customers is unfortunately not at all appropriate, not for a simple place; not for a place of a 4 star hotel. Absolutely disappointing.
The cake was really good. The cocoa was also delicious. However, in the box with ach and Krach were just one and a half cups and for that he was too expensive. The service personnel were apparently overwhelmed with the well-visited local, because the waiting times were disproportionately long. The drinks came 20 minutes after the cake. A smile and a little more kindness would also have been nice. Why the Café See has its name, they only know alone. From the terrace you can see a little of it at some distance between the trees. At the next visit of Maria Laach we will choose another place!
Let's start with something positive: The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I'm really sorry for her, but I'm sorry. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was disappointing. It was unfortunately not possible to meet the self-imposed expectations by etablissement and also the price. Too sweet, too many abbreviations for multi-stage preparations, full-bodied announcements that are not discernible and also quite simply crafty mistakes. We had all the appetizers at the table. Basically, it was all small variations from each other. The same salad, the same decoration, the same carrot strips, the same dressing. Once a slice of raw fish with Wasabi, sometimes cattle carpaccio or Red Beete Carpaccio with caramelized goat cheese. This is something sweet with priority on easy production .I had the appetizer with the caramelized goat cheese on salad and Red Beete Carpaccio. I really like the court. You can do great things. Unfortunately, this chance was missed. Despite caramelization, the goat's cheese was ice-cold as fresh from the 0°C cooler and as well as the Red Bee only slightly aromatic. The plate was prepared as in the morning and stored in the cooling for rapid mass production on the dressing. A hand full of salad on it and out. At McDonalds, I understand, but not here. At 13 15€ per appetizer I find this inappropriate. As a main dish, I had the truffled corn with couscous. Sounds horny, right? But from truffles I didn't taste anything here or smell anything... can be at the time of the year, but then you shouldn't announce it. The chicken really tasted after corn... tastefully good, but it was dust dry dead. The correct cooking point at chicken is not quite easy to meet, but this must have a restaurant in the price class (the plate costs ~25€ on it. Couscous was okay, the vegetable supplement so lala, slightly overgart, probably kept warm. To make it short, I don't know why I should go there again. It's not that way.
