After an early morning hospital visit nearby, found this closest cafe for my breakfast. Had a large coffee and a ham egg and cheese sandwich. All were very fresh. The bun for the sandwich was soft and tasty. The coffee was a bit sour to my taste. The cafe was very spacious inside. There were decent distance between tables. With large windows around, it was bright and cozy. The location was perfect, right after the hi... View all feedback.
What MaryAnn Randazzo doesn't like about Hartford Baking Co.:
Disappointing experience with the cold brew as we waited a LONG time to get told the machine was broken. No adjustment to the bill as what they could replace was much less expensive.I would have liked a voucher or something to come back in for the cold brew when available. They didn’t seem interested but bakery items looked amazing! The atmosphere was good, but they had the music so loud that I felt like I wanted to yell at my sister so she could hear me. The food was phenomenal, but $10.99 for turkey, bacon, and cheddar was a bit steep. I was at least hoping for lettuce on it or pickle(s) on the side. I'd go back, but this time know to ask for lettuce. My sister got a Cobb Salad and that was enough for 2 meals for her.Parking: There's a lot of parking with Trader Joe's being almost next door!
Best cup of coffee in town. Great baked goods. Nothing is cheap but you do get quality. I sat outside as I find the indoor space cavernous with the acoustics of an empty auditorium.
Unfortunately they will not fill your reusable cup, only have disposable cups. She offered to fill my travel mug with a cup that would then be thrown away. Huh? Kinda defeats the purpose. Even if you order a meal and intend to eat it there, it comes in a takeout container, and they only have disposable utensils housed in plastic film. The coffee and food are very good, and they have gluten-free options, but sadly I won’t return due to their lack of concern for the environment.
Our catering order was thoughtfully prepared (they made our wraps with bacon last so the bacon was still warm at pickup! , food was delicious, and our server Siobhan was so helpful and even helped me carry our food to the car. Great experience, we will be repeat customers!
