The hotel is located just about 12 kilometres southwest of Bayreuth, it is very rural but also close to the great culture. The A9 also ensures good transport connections. As small as the place is, there are 2 restaurants. In addition to the Sportlerheim, this is the Landgasthof Opel. The tradition has been preserved for more than a century since 1877 and is today the 5th. Generation behind theke and pan. The red brick house is not overlooked in Bayreuther Straße, which runs along the entire village. Especially in summer, the house is additionally upgraded by lush flower decoration in window boxes and two old horse cars in front of the entrance and the eye-catcher. the lasy beer garden behind the house. The large chestnut trees for shades used for this type of gastronomy are missing here, but there are plenty of green in the form of meadows and other leaves. It sits well, quiet and very comfortable on the typical beer table set. Last summer we came quite randomly coming from the Wiesent Valley, it should go to Bayreuth and there to the highway home. At 4:30 p.m. we noticed the economy and it was decided to take a break. Weather nice, beer garden open, nothing like pure. The operation arrived quickly, asked drinks requests and presented the menus. Three of us then spoke on well cooled and freshly tapped Kulmbacher beer, only the driver had to do without it and prefer a lemon limo. For dinner we ordered liver dumplings soup for everyone and after each a beer garden carving, Cordon bleu, Porkshaxe and a host house salad. The very hot and tasty soup was hardly consumed, there were the main dishes. Very nice dressed, just like hot steaming. Very delicious, it was good to have chosen the smallest of three possible sizes in the carvings. It's a revelation. For four people we were presented with an invoice of nearly 60 euros. Near Bayreuth we would have to pay more or even twice for similar. Such a clear recommendation for this friendly agricultural tourism, not just for reasons of price.
