Absolutely loved this venue! Such a treat to experience the delicious VIP Menu, a 4 course meal which included a (large) cocktail. Bought this for myself and my husband courtesy of my favourite deal site, Glasgow based 'Itison ', so we did not pay the full price. Everything from the friendly welcome on our arrival to a courteous and similarly friendly goodbye made us feel appreciated as customers. We would not hesita... View all feedback.
What Isabella Martin doesn't like about The Anchor Line:
Food Decor Atmosphere Value Service Stunning decor, unfortunately food does not match, ordinary food, the signature fries were very soggy. Is this intentional? A very ordinary bordering on bland burger. Prices reflect the decor rather than the quality of food. View all feedback.
My man and I visited here recently and had a fantastic lunch. my man had an incredible burger who came with coleslaw and thin riders who were still crispy when they came to the table. I had pumpkin tortellini with tomato and sage, I couldn't taste a sage, but it was still tasty. I don't think it was worth as they just got or pieces of tortellini with quarters of kirsch tomaten and some butter sauce and had to buy the fries separately. the staff was very attentive and the place was clean.
I went to the anchor line with a group of employees to dinner, we reserved by phone, were welcomed professionally at the arrival. the place has several seating options, one of them has a bar looks great). we tried several of their plates: I tried the pork ribs that had a very thick coating of bbq sauce. the prices are good. overall recommended.
My wife and I with other couples have booked a table to lunch, starting from the first class of the staff was the meal excellent. the attentiveness of the manager julian was excellent, as I often did not surprise this place congratulations for all and thank them again for the attention we afford.
It was a really busy night, but the staff was friendly and helpful and knew their way around the menu. the service was fast and attentive. the food was great. the lobster mac and cheese was delicious with big lobster bites and very rich, a hauch of truffle make it ultra luxurious! my friend had fish and chips, could have been wal and chips, it was huge! my only criticism is that it could have been something green. desserts were heavenly cream Brûlée and lime sundae, both delicious and very considerable. we have been very happy and mowed!
There seems to be a check sheet for opening a restaurant these days, one which The Anchor Line may have looked at. Restore a landmark city centre building check. Prepare good quality food Yup. Welcoming, relaxed atmosphere yes indeed. Overpriced little portions of pretentious food erm nope
