What User doesn't like about Friends Chinese Cafe:
Place looks like my old high school canteen. Obviously not from Glasgow. Food tastes excellent. Prices are just right for the amount of food portions in servings. Cutleries does not look very clean. Some staff have difficulty speaking English. Not surprised. I had to ask...a few dishes by pointing out the pictures in the menu to determine what's in it. One of them didn't understand me and called another staff to assi... View all feedback.
When I came to the inspiring work in the intense station of the glasgow royal infirmary, I came across the friends chinese cafe, on the high street. I pulled myself in to try. with a lunch deal of two curses for £5.50 sounded like a good value for me. uncertain, the place was busy, with a mix of people, for the Chinese the mother kitchen, students and people from local offices, including a few good people from the nearby hospital. there was a mix of sit-in and takeaway customers.
This is my favourite Chinese restaurant and considering you get two courses of generous proportions made to order for £5 this must be amongst the best value restaurants in Scotland. This hidden gem is great. £5 for 2 courses. A wide range of meals. We had chicken and sweetcorn soup which was full of flavour and warming. Main was chicken and mushroom which was tasty and filling. Service is quick and friendly. There were lot of Chinese people having lunch there also, always a good sign! It is a cafe style, no frills but highly, highly recommended. A must visit.
Cheap but racist! student discount and table service is only available for Chinese guests. this customer treatment is not acceptable in today's Great Britain. will not come back.
2 curs sitting in the price changed to £5.50 thanks for coming into our caffe. please come back to taste our authentic Chinese food.
