Great spot for a proper English afternoon tea. We sat in the bar rather than the main hall. We had a booth bye the window. Loved it. Tea was really good, plenty of food. Bubbly good too. Service a little spotty. Wait staff friendly, but... View all feedback.
What TartanWolf doesn't like about Corrinthian Restaraunt:
Had Christmas lunch here with work friends. The lunch itself was very good turkey etc was pretty good but the place was freezing cold. Lots of folk kept their jackets and scarves on. I asked at the bar if they served beer other than... View all feedback.
Disappointed the service was poor, inattentive and very lackadaisical. Food flavours were nice but a Sunday roast should not be lukewarm. Wife’s meal came without Yorkshire pudding so clearly meals not checked. Roast potatoes not crispy al all. Nobody asked how our food was until table cleared. Can’t imagine wanting to return which is a shame as the building is stunning.
We recently visited Corinthian for birthday drinks and were a bit disappointed by the lack of options for my husband (no Bacardi, no Kraken, no Captain Morgan, etc) despite them being advertised. However, our server Chelsea was absolutely amazing. She took the time to understand my husband's preferences and recommended alternative drinks for him to try. Chelsea promptly followed up to ensure he was happy with his new drink selection, and she didn't stop until he found something he enjoyed (even though he can be quite picky!). Chelsea was personable, funny, and overall delightful, making our experience at Corinthian even better.
We had a wonderful afternoon tea today. It was lovely atmosphere and great service from Erin who kept our drinks topped up :
The venue overall was really nice, and the candlelight performance was amazing (5stars). On the other hand, the staff in the Corinthian were incredibly rude and seemed inconvenienced by our arrival. Actively searching for things to pull us up on when we were just trying to get into a concert we had already paid and had tickets for. Bar staff were very slow and scattered all over the place except one blonde girl who was staying at the bar and actually trying to get through customers. Apart from this the experience was nice.
Visited last week for a meal with couples 6 of us. The building is gorgeous, a beautiful place to be. Serving staff are friendly, helpful and engaged. The menu was not extensive and the food, though well enough cooked and presented, was simply average and unremarkable. Service from the kitchen was slow, but I happen to prefer this to food fired at you fast and furious. Plenty of time to eat each course. Unfortunately, the food was cool/cold by the time it got to us. No one was at all happy with that! The music was simply unbearable. Too loud, demanding and unpleasant for a relaxed Saturday dining experience. Truly unsure what the psychology behind it is, but it was awful and penetrated the ambience and pleasure of friends eating together and enjoying themselves. 0/10 for the ‘ambient’ music. Taking all of this as a whole experience, the verdict of all 6 was ‘won’t be back’. Shame really as the location and setting is great.
