One of the best pubs I've been in for ages. Brought my mom in here while on vacation, her first time in a pub. She loved it. Great food and beer selection, super nice staff, cozy atmosphere with very comfy armchairs and good ambiance. Incomprehensibly delicious butter chicken. 10/10 If I lived here I'd be a regular. What Greg Owen doesn't like about Bon Accord:
Took some friends to lunch there today . One of us had a nice pint but found the landlord barman in your face offensive . Food fairly adequate as a prawn salad composed chips would go . Honestly , if you are a...fan of cask beer you can go there , but given endless more congenial places with the same facilities , why would you? . We live yards away and we won’t be going back. Ever . Had an unscheduled stopover in Glasgow due to travel issues caused by storms. Fancied heading out for a bite to eat and a drink in the evening- pub came up recommended online. The good reviews were spot on as it's a lovely pub. The place looks great and historic, inside and out. Lots of cozy spots to sit and chill- my type of place. Everything was clean and well-kept, including the toilets. Quite a few customers were there for food and the meal I had was excellent (Cajun chicken and fries) and pretty good value. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Pub is obviously known for its large whisky selection- it's pretty impressive and I sampled a few. There's a great selection to try for whisky lovers. Plenty of everything else too if you're not into whisky. Can't really criticise anything. It's a lovely pub, not far from major transport hubs, with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Also has football on TV. Staff are excellent, foods good and if you're into whisky, it's a dream. Recommended.
An incredibly interesting place for whiskey drinkers!
Great, friendly pub with an excellent and changing selection of beers at a fair price. Food is a limited choice but tasty. A most enjoyable place to spend some time
Bar staff curt, rude, and unfriendly. Made to feel like an inconvenience. Noticed not welcoming to tourists asking about the ales and whisky. Negative atmosphere too.
Cracking proper pub with great real ales, craft beers and huge whisky selection and cool guvnor and staff.
