I was invited to this restaurant to try their festive menu as a food blogger. The food was amazing, the service was very attentive, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the restaurant. We started with ham hock and smoked salmon starters, followed by perfectly cooked roast leg duck for the main course, and finished with a delightful toffee nut latte. The food quality was outstanding, and the menu was extensive.... View all feedback.
What Hugh Allspaugh doesn't like about The Hyndland Fox:
This restaurant has everything going for it, from the décor and atmosphere to the beautiful people and even the toilets! It's a stunning restaurant with an enticing menu. However, the food was disappointing. After being in Scotland for over a week, this meal was the least impressive. But I have faith that they will improve, and the atmosphere more than makes up for it. The staff were very friendly. If I lived here, I... View all feedback.
I don't know if I have visited my fair part of restaurants to actually judge, but that remains the most cozy restaurant I have ever visited. we found it suddenly when we were for a walk and we are glad we did. if I ever visit glassgow again, I come back to her sticky toffee pudding and coffee.
After a long flight (and really grotty aircraft eat from South Africa. we were in desperate need of a healthy food. and the hyndland fox seemed to hit the sweet spot! it was magie! i loved that her menu says: we want to make sure there is something. whatever their nutritional requirements! why don't they take on restaurants this philosophy? in a world of lactose intolerant, banting, gluten-free, sugar-free, vegan (now seagan!( single person isn't what we need? my superfood scottish salmon salad was raised and my dining room partner over her veggie burger...all served with a smile! the setting is also great! cozy but bright...with beautiful...read more

But I have faith that they will improve, and the atmosphere more than makes up for it. The staff were very friendly. If I lived here, I would love to spend time at this restaurant, and I bet the coffee is top-notch.

The food was good, but we were not impressed overall. We stopped in for a quick meal before catching our train. The food was tasty, but it took a while to be served. The vegan burger was very dry and not as described, but the chickpea tagine was enjoyable. The prices were a bit high for the quality of the food. We waited at least 10 minutes to pay, despite the waitress knowing we were in a hurry. Unfortunately, we ended up missing our train due to the wait. Overall, we were disappointed with our dining experience.
