We ordered from the Valentine's menu and it was a great choice. At first, we were left wondering why our main courses took so long to arrive. However, the manager came over to apologize and kindly offered us complimentary oysters and a drink, which was a thoughtful gesture he didn't have to make. Overall, we had a lovely evening meal. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Pelican And Bistro:
Very accommodating when I had to keep increasing my booking number (organising these get togethers are always difficult) and the service, ambience and drinks where all excellent. I would say it was odd that there where no Christmas crackers/ festive décor but that is OK. Everyone was very happy with the starters and the desserts however the mains were a little disappointing for most. The salmon sauce had curdled, the... View all feedback.
This is a gorgeous, cosy wee restaurant over looking the Kelvingrove art gallery. Food is excellent and the menu has something for everyone. Not to be missed.
My recent visit was an excellent dining experience: first-class food and service, wine delicious and value for money.
I bought a voucher deal to try the pelican months ago and loved it so much have been back loads of times , the food is fab , the staff are fantastic really nice vibe , would recommend to anyone , a little gem of a place !
I enjoyed dining at the Pelican. The fish and chips I had were very nice with thick cut chips made with potato skins on and the batter was good too. I also had cheesecake which was lovely too. the staff are friendly and it has a nice atmosphere. We were served straight away and given a choice of seats. The restaurant is dog friendly which I don't mind, however my only concern is that the staff wash their hands after welcoming the canine guests.
When we arrived we were greeted in a friendly manner and allocated the seat we had reserved with minimum fuss . The atmosphere was friendly and the premises were clean if somewhat gloomy. There was a young couple with a child at a table opposite and the waitresses made a fuss of her, genuinely friendly. We ordered our food, we were only having one course the bavette steak and pepper sauce, with salad, mushroom, tomato and homestyle chips . The steaks arrived as per order, after a reasonable wait and they were delicious , the taste was great. For the cut of meat sirloin tips the texture was fine. The chips were good but slightly thick for my taste . The salad was really nice with a tasty dressing . All in all a positive experience. We will return.
