A chain place where the staff act as though they are your long lost best mate might not sound appealing but the food was great. Think of this place like a Latin Zizzi's. Huge, busy and an open style kitchen. Service was good, very attentive. The only off putting part was the overly familiar kids tv presenter style of the greeting staff but no big deal. There was a good atmosphere and everyone seemed to be tucking in... View all feedback.
What Mohamed Bartell doesn't like about Las Iguanas:
we were disappointed by the service and eating. had to stop the server every time we needed something. we sat more than 30 minutes after our dinner. we would have lost more drinks turnover! View all feedback.
The first time here. a lot of choice and much more interesting than the usual tex-mex offers. we shared appetizers, among them also really tasty pork bell-skewers with an ananas salsa (anticuchos) and a cheese fondue with crispy carrot cubes. the salat (fiesta ensalada) was a large mix of sweet, pickle and seeds. my main blazin bird huh was really well boiled (think nandos but better) and the sweet kartoffel fries were excellent. my flaming hot Habanero sauce was 't spicy enough for me, but I eat vindaloo and really love spicy food. When I mentioned that, they brought me a huge pot of extra spicy sauce that was on the ground. that was all part of the great service. beautiful drinks also with...read more
We loved our meal in iguanas! After I wondered the streets, my partner and I stumbled over iguanas and decided to have dinner there so glad that we did because everything was delicious and pina coladas were £4.50! we shared the nachos, gambas, calamares and the bahian coconut chicken. all were delicious and would recommend.
Great eating and living ambiente. they serve Mexican, Spanish, Brazilian cuisine. it lies in the heart of the city. must try to visit glassgow
Near the city center, this is a place where I was introduced in enchiladas. I also tried to locate others, but I liked them better. like many other restaurants, they also make lunch menus that offer you a starter and a main thing in a good offer. the ambiente is beautiful, service is great. it could be a better idea to reserve a table in advance, but apart from a few times when all the tables were taken, I could find a table even if I entered.
