Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant offers a unique experience with its focus on South Indian cuisine, which was a pleasant surprise for some diners. The food was well-cooked and well-presented, with standout dishes like the palkatti chettinad and South Indian breads. While some found the service to be friendly and attentive, others had issues with the staff's attitude when ordering, feeling judged and unwelcome as a result. Despite some mixed experiences with the service, the food quality was consistently praised, and many diners appreciated the wide range of authentic Southern Indian dishes available. Overall, the restaurant seems to offer a tantalizing menu with attentive service, making it a highly recommended dining destination for those looking for something different from the usual Indian restaurant fare.
This was our first time here tonight, we thought we would give it a go due to the fact they are 100 per cent gluten-free. They didn't disappoint. My partner and I loved the food. It was so delicious, full of flavour. Service was quick and all the staff were friendly. I can't wait to come back and try some more dishes.
Fantastic south indian! Watch-out for the spices! First time here and I was a little intimidated reading some bad reviews. I ordered the Chettinad chicken and appams. Man, it was fantastic! Totally worth a visit!
Enjoyed a delicious meal here on a Tuesday night, taking advantage of their 10% student discount. Wasn't familiar with any of the dishes (not your average Indian takeaway) but I had a prawn curry with Coconut rice which was amazing.
Decent food but with some questionable service, and ultimately quite expensive. The palkatti chettinad was superb, and we enjoyed the sample of South Indian breads too. The mamsam nilgiri was good too, but was not particularly herby as described. The sundal, however, was incredibly bland. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience when ordering. Originally, we were not planning on ordering the rice, and instead wanted an additional curry as we do not often see many of the varieties they were offering. However, upon trying to order our second curry, the waiter tried to persuade us against it, and basically said he would only allow us to do it if we paired it with rice. We did not appreciate this attitude but relented to avoid conflict, and decided to not order the third curry to avoid further disagreement. If we wanted recommendations we would have asked, we did not like being judged for having an “unorthodox” order, and this left us feeling unwelcome for the rest of the evening.
Interesting idea of having a tasting package in which you get to try various dishes. Really good for a group of 4-5. Service is fast and friendly and portion sizes are average. Likely great for a family outing. Definitely not cheap but also not overly expensive.
