What a beautiful hotel. We enjoyed the gas firepit on the patio. The river runs in back of the hotel which kids were playing in. Rooms: We stayed in 2 suites on the third floor. The rooms are clean and spacious. The suites have 2 balconies. 1 smaller at the bedroom and a large one off the living room/dining room. . Nearby activities: Cedar River Outfitters kayak, canoe tube rentals s picks up in the parking lot to the east of the hotel and you get out of the river on the hotels west side parking. Wow! What a gem in an area where it can be hard to find a lot of exceptional options, this stands alone. Felt like we were on Mackinaw Island. The staff went out of there way and they all were very friendly. We live in Traverse City and are planning a return trip which makes us laugh because we always want to go north but this is such a gem we can't wait. Thank you Riverwalk staff and owners!
