The Chip Wagon has been a staple in Glace Bay for 30 years! They were at the Christmas parade, with locals lined up along the road. I couldn't believe the price of the home fries, only $3.00. They were absolutely delicious. View all feedback.
This visit was about 45 years in the making. Here is the short story. I grew up in Toronto and played baseball as a young teen with Brian whose family was from the 'Bay Bye'...I got to know so many people from Glace Bay that the visit this August and to the CHIP TRUCK was mandatory. The chips and the hot dog were great, my wife wants to return for the CHIPS. Now the interesting thing here is that the truck is owned by another friend whose family I also know in Toronto so we had a special visit at the Truck and I got the story about the truck and I was pointed in the direction of where everyone lived.I phoned my buddies when I got back to let them know that I was in the Bay Bye and I had me some chips Bye....wonderful people all of them.
Great summer evening stop for burger and fries .You can sit and watch the boats at the harbor or take a nice evening stroll around the water.
Absolutely delicious chips. I've been to many places in many countries and this is easily the best made chips i've ever tasted!
They are my favorite fries....been on Glace Bay for so many years, they are a must try when you are visiting here!!!!
Love this chip wagon. You must seek it out, its usually parked on the other side of Water Street bridge...on Water Street...its been around so long, I can say generations of my family have enjoyed this chip wagon. The chips are wonderful and I love how they are cut...I hope Glace Bay never loses its chip wagon.
