Machico is a funny little place. Its decorated in a southwestern/Native American theme, and at first glance, you'd almost assume you could get a burrito there. The types of food they do offer are typical Neapolitan sides/appetizers, a few pastas, grilled meats and a TON of sandwiches (all sandwiches come with a side of fries. My husband loves the spicy cheesesteak sandwich, and I'm pretty partial to both the roast porchetta, smoked cheese and grilled eggplant sandwich and the pancetta bacon, smoked cheese and grilled mushroom zucchini crostini sandwich myself. The owners are very friendly and attentive, and 8/10 times we go, they throw in a little something extra for free (dessert, appetizer or side. The prices are really low, and two people can find themselves stuffed for under 20 euros. An easy spot to stop in most evenings, especially when nobody is in the mood to cook! :
