We enjoyed a delightful dinner on December 22, 2021, featuring baked fish, filet, laarb chicken, and duck curry. The pork belly with vegetables was absolutely delicious. We ordered three starters and five main courses, all served family style with white rice. View all feedback.
What Sierrah Currie dislikes about Thai Sunshine:
I had a takeaway Pad Thai sadly one of the worst I’ve had. Waited 30 mins and it just tasted like sweet chili sauce on noddles. Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 View all feedback.
On Friday night at 18 o'clock we booked a telephone for dinner, 14 jan 22. we ordered a huh nibbles as a escape, the hen was crispy on the outside still moist in the inner. also the diving Thai sauce was very satisfied, not too sweet and there was a safe zanginess we need. we ordered whole snapper, a small huh tom yum and small prawn tom kha for our main meal. the whole snapper was boiled with tamarindensoße, which was not too sweet was surprising (only perfectly fulfill our desires), the tom yum refreshed, and the tom kha was creamy and tasty. it was a pretty busy night when the tables were all full, but we didn't wait too long. also for customer service. the foods were top notch and a 9/10 culinary experience. will definitely be back.
Service from start to finish was tops. And the food was to die for; fresh, tasty, well balanced and beautifully presented. A wonderful experience! The only disappointment was we couldn't fit it all in. A big doggy bag fixed that.
While the ambiance of this restaurant might not be its strongest point, it certainly excels in both service and food. The portion sizes were ample for the price, the staff was attentive and prompt, and the seasoning was perfectly balanced. Thank you very much!
This charming eatery is located just off the main road in the Gisborne City Centre. It’s quite popular, so I recommend making a reservation in advance. The food is definitely very good, and the selection of specials is worth trying. Despite being busy, the staff provide a commendable customer experience. The only downside was the sticky rice and mango dessert (a well-loved Thai dish), which contained frozen mangoes. While I understand the need to use frozen mangoes to keep costs down, I believe they should be thawed before serving; it really detracted from an otherwise excellent dish. I will definitely return when I'm in the area next time.
