Best meal and culinary experience of my life still. The dinner 7 course tasting menu is amazing value (36€, and each dish is magical: artistic and masterful. It is obvious that much attention was paid to detail and creativity in each of their courses. Very unique as it is a “surprising” tasting experience where the cook comes and declares the dish after you have eaten it. I found myself consciously and with curiosity eating while I tried to identify all the ingredients that went into the dishes. I usually try to cook the dishes of reverse engineers while they try to see how I can cook something similar at home, but here I was just awestruck through the complexity, the sheer number of components to any dish, and all ingredients involved. I also loved how most dishes were vegetarian/plant concentrated; really showed how tasty food can be without meat. It has a small interior and feels like you are given more attention and care. They also take into account any nutritional restrictions. I now dream of the unique fusion of aromas I had experienced here. I could go on riding this place, but I need to calm down. That was really a culinary adventure.
Little jewel in Girona, which has a chef passionately in his creations. The restaurant has a casual location with only 5 tables, so booking is essential. But you will be rewarded with very intelligent cooking and serving methods. The cook has thought of everything for you, and it offers 6 different types of surprise menus. You just need to relax and trust your know-how to enjoy any service. Some are even misleading you, like mushroom soup, which is served like cappuccino in a cup. It was an unforgettable experience and we will definitely visit again.
5 stat is not enough to describe the service and food quality....
We did not enjoy so much a meal as a culinary experience. Seven courses over 2 1/2 hours. Each course was creative and thoughtful. There is a “game” where the waiter does not tell you the next course or the ingredients. After every meal he offers a chance to guess what was in the course. Fun and a nice way to excite mindfulness. It's the Zen of food. The waiter and cook are friendly and unpredictable. Make sure to make reservations as the restaurant is small and personalized. When booking, make sure they are advised by all allergies and they will change the recipe to take place.
A brilliant experience. Beautifully prepared food with interesting and novel flavours. Great fun to try to work out how things are composed. Really nice people. Highly recommended.
