Pizzeria Al Porticciolo - GIOVINAZZO

Had dinner outside at this restaurant. Service was quick and attentive. Very large choice of dishes. Antipasti, first and second courses. Pasta, meats and pizza. Lot of seafood obviously, as the restaurant is located directly at sea, although a wall prevents direct sea views. Quality of the food was good. Restaurant is very busy, but did not feel crowded.

If you want a truly authentic Italian meal go here. We went three times because the food was so good, the seafood portions were incredible. The owners were lovely to us and very attentive. It's typically Italian. Hidden front door, bright lights, TV on and hard seats. Menu was complicated there are 3 menus) order the seafood salad. The portion was enormous, fresh and delicious. Food was not too salty which we found was the case elsewhere. My husband had the fettuccine with seafood 3 times because it's the best he's ever had he's travelled everywhere) €12, absolute bargain. He had the fried fish €17) more than enough for two with three baby cod which were delicious. Don't miss this place, it's the best!

Tasty italian food but most important italian seacoast atmosphere.Was there before pandemic and I like it because of locals in the night are sitting there for conversations and enjoyng time together

This is a big place in a good location by the sea in Giovinazzo. We went for dinner in fairly early evening. It quickly got very busy. The staff are not particularly friendly or helpful and tend to rush around frantically. Portion sizes are largeand the food is adequate, but nothing special. Prices are fairly low. Our bill came to 58 euros for two people, three courses. That would be excellent value if the food, service and atmosphere were better, but I wouldn't have wanted to pay more for our experience. Wouldn't go again.

The Porticciolo is open every day from one pm until three pm. Most restaurants don 't open until evening. Pizza at noon is not common. All dishes I had were very good. The service s friendly and efficient.
