Casa Del Dolce - GIOIOSA MAREA

We passed there often for an icecream, the traditional sicilian cannoli with ricotta or the small italian biscuits. They have it all. You can order pizza there as well I the evening. Loved the cannoli.

Ok so we have been visiting this place every day, if not twice a day. Amazing granita, brioche, gelato and all kinds of little sweet delights. Not pretentious.. Just a humble little sweet shop in a beautiful little Sicilian town.

It is a typical Sicilian bar/pasticceria. It is a simple place with good service. It is mostly visited by local people which I like in general. I have tasted the granita alla fragola (strawberry) with brioche, both were excellent.

When we visited, it was almost out of season for the town, according to the assistant. Therefore she didn't have cassata available, but she offered to prepare cannoli instead which were delicious. She was also very nice to talk to about the Italian lifestyle.
