For example, I studied the promising menu and ordered chicken with a choice of two accompanying flavourings. Yum yum.The lovely waitress returned from the kitchen to say no chicken. Two things: what restaurant does not have chicken? Anything not available should be scored off the menu and the serving staff made aware. I chose lamb ribs as a second choice. What actually arrived were 3 lamb chops.....very tasty. My side dish was grilled vegetables.....very tasty. My wife ordered ravioli in a sauce........very tasty, though she was unsure if it was home made or not. Desserts were fairly ordinary bought in and defrosted tarts. All portions were modest in size though the bread basket was huge! On the plus side, we were made very welcome, the local red wine rustic and hearty, the artisan bread fresh and chewy and we were offered complimentary liqueurs. Total cost €40.
