What User doesn't like about Naranjales:
I had ribs and it had no taste. The party of about 10 next to us celebrated a birthday. They also said the food was terrible and they went early. Furnace potatoes were cold, the one rib had no taste and was mostly fat, salad was iceberg salad with little food. My partner also said the food was mediocre. I suspect they are used for these comments.
On the way to the village of Ginebra there are Hacienda owners who have been converted into places where you swim and the day away. According to management, there is 7 days a week open and there is no technical fee for the pool and playground of the child, but there is an expectation to eat or drink something that is affordable. Since we had eaten somewhere else, we only had a snack while the kids were playing. Our goal was to visit El Paraiso, which was shown in a 1972 film called Maria, based on a 1800;s romantic book written by Jorge Isaacs. But on the way is a great journey through the country to a small but also largish and well maintained villages. A good place to visit the valley. What makes this beautiful is the pool and I wish we had brought our swimsuits because there was a lot of warmth. But to use this well maintained property, and what looks like a large kitchen, has no cover and is only idyllic. Nothing like in the USA where there would normally be a cover and then the kitchen. It feels like visiting someone's house. I added pictures of other things like the Dulces on the street that we bought and pictures of the property that you can visit. The restaurant also has local wines. Overall, if you want to get from Cali or Buga to a safe location, or are on the way to Buga from Cali, I don't think you will spend a nice sunny day in Naranjales.
