Just a good place to eat. We passed through here on vacation and I wanted a place that sold good beef ribs. After a short search we found Pokey's. My kid's burger had a good taste, but the best part was my Rib. One was all you need. It was notfall off the bone, but that was the best part. You had to grab it and go primeval on it. The BBQ sauce was sweet and tangy. The side or rings had a good crunch to them as well. There were a few pieces of salad on my plate, but my kid grabbed them. Itwas one of those meals where you needed a nap afterwards.
Wonderful restaurant. The service was excellent. We were seated quickly. Our server was with us immediately and checked on us throughout the meal. She brought us our check at the right time. The food was amazing. The brisket and pulled pork wereoutstanding. My wife loved the baked beans!! The portions were ample. I was unable to eat everything when ordering a two meatmeal. the house Frie?s were excellent. If you are in Gillette looking for BBQ this is it!!
We went to this restaurant around 9pm and was served by a very nice young woman. Our food came out very quickly and was some of the best food I have ever had for a BBQ joint. I got some of the fried pickles and they were some of the best pickles I haveever had. The breading on the pickles was just extraordinary. Overall the food and the service was some of the best I ever had.
What a cool place. The bbq was good. A little sweet for us but good. Great drink happy hour. Service was top notch. Loved the salad bar. Chicken was a little dry but not too bad. I cannot recommend the fried green tomatoes. Not much flavor and cut waytoo thin. But Over all it?s a great bbq place. ETA: went back a couple weeks later on a Thursday night. They were obviouslyshort staffed. Service was meh at best. Ribs barely had meat on them. Was given hot bbq sauce instead of medium. Definitely notas good of an experience but I still recommend giving this place a try.
