Gillam Hotel

It has been almost a year since my last visit to this restaurant, but I decided to give it another chance after hearing about the new management. I was pleasantly surprised by the good food and service during my recent visits. I enjoyed a delicious homemade burger and fries on one occasion, and a tasty steak dinner on another. The restaurant is conveniently located next to the Gillam hotel, which added to the overall experience. I would definitely recommend giving this restaurant a try.

This Motel looks appealing from the outside, but once you are inside it's a different story. Everything is old, worn out or broken. Only one bulb was operational in the bathroom. The plastic cover was burnt and melted from the heat of the bulbs. Disgusting. The window curtain had several holes, the wall paneling was cracking and crumbling in numerousl places. The window screen was in shambles and laying on the floor.The staff on the other hand was friendly and very accommodating. We stayed over till the next day since the train to Churchill departed at 11.30 pm. There were no additional charges.This place seems to be the best accommodation in own.

The food at this restaurant is delicious, but I have experienced two very different customer service situations in the past two weeks. The first time, I had burgers and fries (which were really good - homemade patties and fries) and received good service from a younger waitress. However, when I went yesterday, I had to change my order because they did not have what my wife wanted. We ended up waiting 30 minutes for our starter salads, which never arrived, so we left and went elsewhere. Additionally, there was no air conditioning in the restaurant.

The restaurant was dirty and had a strong odor of dirty mop water. However, the cheeseburger I ordered was delicious and homemade. The following morning, I enjoyed a tasty omelette as well. Despite the uncleanliness of the restaurant, the food was unexpectedly fresh and delicious.
