Was Kristine Hemenway at La Mesa a mag?
Ordered a large take out order. Everything was pretty good. We ordered fajitas and didn't realize the shells have to be ordered separately. Everything had good flavor and generous portions. Awful, awful, awful! My last 3 orders I have called have been wrong. Called and spoke to someone apologized. I decided to give it one more try and go in to eat instead. The Tornado Burrito was terrible and the server took it away. I go to pay and it's still on my bill. I ask if I could have it discounted and was told sorry I have already run your card. So sorry. This family-owned restaurant serves delicious food! We ordered takeout for dinner and were very pleased with the service. The atmosphere was great, and we would highly recommend trying the Chicken Burrito. Overall, we give this place a perfect score of 5 in food, service, and atmosphere.

The food at this restaurant is amazing! I visited two years ago and found it bland, but now the dishes are packed with flavor. The interior atmosphere feels cold and echoey, and could be warmer and more inviting. However, the outdoor atmosphere is perfect with twinkling lights and covered seating that I love.

The staff was welcoming and our server was excellent. Some in our group were disappointed that they didn't offer beer. The food was tasty and they continuously brought out chips and salsa. The restaurant is not far from Lake Murray. Kid-friendly with a kids menu and no alcohol served.
