Local bakers make the buns, beef from a... read more Went for lunch nice well made tasty burgers and dogs. Great explanation of the restaurants food and where it comes from. Local bakers make the buns, beef from area and you can change the burgers to suit your own tastes. The outcome is simple well cooked tasty food. Keep up the good work will be back.

All of them were about to close and no longer accepting c... read more After a long Sartuday walking around the city, we searched for a restaurant to have a very late lunch. All of them were about to close and no longer accepting clients, we got to Karan 10 min before closing already expecting a no , but instead we were received by a very welcoming staff and most importantly by a member that speaks English (so I didn 't need to use my terrible Portunhol, a lame mix between Portuguese and Spanish) which is really hard to find in Gijón. They all tried to accommodate us offering a few seating options since we had a stroller and a 1 year old baby and even the members that didn 't speak English tried to communicate with us, which made us feel even more welcome. The burgers were amazing! With homemade bread and meat from local source (which we value). The price was a tiny bit above average but definitely worth it!!!

When ordering the caring waiter explained us what’s not on the menu and where’s the meat from. All regional and freshly made, exactly how it tasted then, really delicious. And a baked cookie with ice at the end: top of the taste. Thanks to the nice place, caring waiters and awesome tasting food highly recommended. Thanks for the nice evening, Sven and lotti

We bumped into this place while looking for a place to have a late lunch in Gijón since almost every restaurant was either closed (it was Sunday) or too crowded... read more We bumped into this place while looking for a place to have a late lunch in Gijón since almost every restaurant was either closed (it was Sunday) or too crowded. The staff was incredibly nice and thoughtful. Eating at Karan was not only filling out stomachs, it was a pleasant experience. We were told about how all the meat served was grown locally and the bread was home-made too. We had a meat burger and the falafel one on the menu. Both were absolutely delicious! The desert was a dream! We chose the American cookie, that came straight out of the oven, topped with vanilla ice-cream and chocolate and didn’t regret it! When back in Gijón, I will certainly make sure I’ll be eating at Karan again!
