The food is great, the beer tasty, the personnel fast and friendly. I found it by chance, it was full, so I only got a place at the bar. Had a great dinner, nice chats with locals and all in all a great evening. A must go. View all feedback.

The meal we ordered was not oK, not fresh, not hot and no regrets from the waiter and the chef, not even an apologize
Sauerkraut ("Kraut") was delicious and came with a number of their dishes. I loved my small salad, whose leaves were fresh and flavorful, with a noteworthy homemade dressings. Of course there is plenty of meat on the menu, but vegetarians won't go hungry.
I went here with a large group of friends and we had a really enjoyable dinner. In contrast to a lot of places in Giessen, the service is good and relatively quick. We had a large variety of things, I had the pig's knuckel (Schweinehaxe) with Sauerkraut and bread, some of the other had the Frankfurter Grüner Soße, fried potatoes with eggs, Schweineschnitzel, bread with pork scratchings and Kesselfleischwoscht. Everything is homemade, even the bread and is of a high quality. Everyone was happy with what they had and beer was really good too. If you want local or other good German cuisine, this is the place to go in Giessen.
The food was amazing and real homemade food. The food tasted just like I was taught to by my German gran.
