We were in Giengen for the annual guitar festival and staying at the Hotel Schlüssel down the road. Fortunately for us, the hotel is not offering meals, so we discovered this gem. We were hoping to find a breakfast spot with good coffee and instead found this delightful community hub with exceptional coffee! It's all from locally roasted selected beans and the friendly owner is more than willing to tell stories of how he chose them. The coffee is served in an eclectic mix of antique crockery, just adding to the charm of the place. We shared a sweet and savoury breakfast for 2 which was lovingly presented on a charcuterie board with a basket of delicious, warm bread rolls. The only thing missing was any product of animal origin as the Café is all vegan, which made a refreshing change to the usual breakfast offerings in cafés and bakeries. On our second morning in Giengen there was no question about it. We went back for more and to try the new coffee of the month.
