Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant, known for its awesome dim sum, offers a mixed dining experience with some minor drawbacks. While the Caesar could be improved and certain beers weren't available, the overall experience wasn't bad. The long wait for the first course at times overshadows the excellent view and delicious drinks. However, the food was mostly tasty, with standout dishes like fried chicken, fish tacos, and a surprisingly good lobster and prawn sub. Friendly service and a lovely patio contribute to a pleasant dining atmosphere. Despite some minor shortfalls, the restaurant is worth a visit, especially for drinks, great views, and hearty pub food.
So. We had our 52th anniversary on June 4th and we went back and forth about which fancy restaurant we would go to but it was a beautiful evening so we walked to Gramma's and had a meal on their outside lower deck. Wonderful food I like the Thai influence), ambiance and service-our guy's name was Brandon and he was super. So don't rule out Gramma's outside in the summer. Kind of fun in the colder weather too, if you want to watch a game and have their awesome soft taco meal.
I came in to kill an hour or two while my sister visted her mom. Ordered a margerita but the server insisted I buy food. I told her I had already eaten at McDonalds in Sechelt so she refused service to me. Its a pub not a restaurant girl! People go in there for just drinks all the time. I've been there before its a nice watering hole even if the service is a bit slow. But that waitress took the cake. I took my business to the Chinese restaurant down the strip ordered a small wonton soup (it is a restaurant) and a beer. But i really wanted a margarita. Someone fire that waitress and send her to a restaurant where she belongs.
1500 characters is not enough for this story.....Having to 'list ' at another restaurant made us come to Gramma 's for margaritas to kill some time. Brandon was very polite to us diplomatically mentioned that many ppl come by for drinks only while waiting for seating at another restaurant..Appreciating his honesty.. we reviewed the menu..and noticed that it was 'Thursday Prime Rib special ' day. Well, upon my suggestion to my wife and friend...I suggested we stay here and enjoy the service and meal... 'If ' Lunitas should call, we 'll just decline. Well it was a great choice to stay. First off, Gramma 's margaritas were Great...! We 've had a lot of margaritas through out our travels and these were Great. Brandon was very friendly...busy guy..and took our orders respectfully. I had a special request.. that if the chef could 'grill ' my prime rib. (something I had at the Baton Rouge restaurant in Ottawa a few years ago). So our entrées arrived and all was fine ..and as to his word, the chef was able to grill my prime rib. .the prime rib was Awesome.. Really really good. Loved it.. along with its compliments...tho not a fan of Yorkshire pudding. Everything else...for all of us, was really great..tasty and flavourful. Glad I declined the waitlisted call when it came an hour later. So glad we did. Grammas ' was a wonderful experience..and actually..our previous visits here were as successful.. I would recommend Gramma 's anytime... You can 't go wrong...imo... Cheers to them...!
Very long wait for the first course, quite an hour Natchos with a lot of spicy chilly pepper and see food really bad Yesterday at Smitty’s which is at 30m really good We can not compare I think they just have to find a new chef! I hope my comment will save your dinner.
We came here for dinner. Glad we stumbled across it. It is a traditional style pub. The food was very good and the service was excellent. I have not regrets stopping in here for a bite to eat.
