This restaurant is definitely a must-visit for those looking to enjoy Tibetan cuisine. The food is not too spicy, which appeals to children. It is affordable and easy to access with a modest entrance. View all feedback.

I had the fried rice at this restaurant and got ill that same night. I can't definitively say it was because of the food here, but I would recommend trying the restaurant next door instead of this one. View all feedback.
I highly recommend "TASTE OF SIKKIM" to both locals and tourists visiting Ravangla. The restaurant offers a nice ambiance, delicious food, and friendly service from the staff.
We visited Ravangla during the August of 2016. The weather was not so good from the morning and it started raining in the afternoon. The "Taste of Sikkim" sits next to the taxi stand, right in the middle of the Ravangla bazaar. Its only after the weather decided to play a spoilsport, and it started to rain heavily, that we decided to call it a day. Our choice of the restaurant was obvious, thanks to it's brilliant location. There was no electricity, which is very common in Ravangla during monsoons. We sat on the candle lit tables, and ordered beer and some finger food. The table at the farthest corner was occupied by a large group of men, who were playing guitars and singing. We joined them after a while and later came to know, they were army personnel from the nearest camp. We sang and danced for the next couple of hours, up until they had to leave to report for duty. We also finished our food and left. The food was good, nothing special. However, we were very grateful that they were serving us even through the power-cut. With hot finger food, a couple of cold beers and an experience worth savoring, the aftertaste that "Taste of Sikkim" left was really good, both literally and metaphorically.Highly Recommended!!
We have only tried the momos, it was lovely, those were just melting in mouth. I am sure the other options are equally good and will try in next visit.
This place is right on the highway but was closed when we visited on October 11 for lunch. Though Kookey is next door and was delightful
