We had a great meal at One Lincoln, conveniently located at the main square in Gettysburg. We were looking for a lighter fare, with good vegetables and this was a great match (there was plenty of meat on the menu, too). Service was very friendly. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about One Lincoln:
Service was excellent and dining room/facility is clean and very comfortable atmosphere. Food was just OK. I ordered the stir fry with Chicken over rice. Hardly any Veggies and only 1 mushroom in entire dish. Was really a bowl of rice. Husband ordered the Smoked Salmon. Salmon was overcooked and best thing on the plate was the Squash purée on the bottom. Have experienced many restaurants in Gettysburg and was really... View all feedback.
6/16/24. Was there for breakfast, not a bad breakfast. I had the 2 eggs potatoes bacon and toast. My order was OK due to the fact it wasn't hot. The both had food on the seat before we sat down. Not a good thing when you are starting with breakfast. With all the choices you have for breakfast a restaurant wants to give a good first impression for their customers.
I love traveling to the US and one part of it is going into some classic diners I see in movies like Back to the future 2 . This certainly is one of them! Service was a bit slow but I guess it was due to the fact that it was crowded. Prices for food ad beverages are reasonable and the quality is good. It 's definitely worth a visit... Or two.
I had been here on a Food Tour of Gettysburg, where you get a sampling but never for an entire meal. There were 4 of us, and we all thought the food was good to excellent. Our server was very attentive, and the prices were decent. There is a cute upscale bar area in the back of the restaurant. It's attached to the hotel. The restrooms are a little bit of a hike, since they are located in the hotel part.
Arrived with my girlfriend at 10:40AM looking to get a late breakfast. We were greeted with a just a minute as the server/hostess walked past us and into the back of the establishment. When she returned she stated they stopped serving breakfast and that there would be a wait as staff had to transition to lunch. That 's as far as my experience went with this business. It was enough for me to never want to return again. And as I 'm reading some of the other reviews it seems like we didn 't miss much.
We waited 45 minutes for a poached egg that turned out to be a hard boiled egg. An unmitigated disaster. I cannot understand how a hotel in such a nice location could have a restaurant that poorly run. The food is bland. Go across the street for a proper breakfast.
