We hosted our children's wedding rehearsal dinner at this restaurant last week. Ruth and her staff did an amazing job. When we first inquired, Ruth helped us create a menu with a variety of delicious options. On the night of the event, Ruth and her team did an outstanding job. The food was excellent and the two servers were very attentive. I would highly recommend Dunlaps to anyone looking for a meal, whether for one person or a group of 25.
Great food! Straightforward atmosphere! This diner/coffee shop is warm and inviting. If you have a lot of specific dietary needs, you might want to eat somewhere else. Otherwise, head to Dunlap for a delicious breakfast.
My husband and I visited this restaurant for the first time. The server was very friendly and the food was delicious. The Dutch salad reminded me of my mother and I ended up buying a pint of the dressing to bring home to my father, who loved it. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Took our daughter here for breakfast. Had heard that this place serves the best breakfast in Gettysburg. Those reviews were spot on. We sat down and very shortly our server came over to get our order. Less than 10 minutes later, each one of our breakfasts had come out exactly how we ordered them. French toast, eggs, omelettes, freshly made and delicious. Simple and yummy. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. Value for what we ordered...OUTSTANDING. I would highly recommend this place for breakfast when in Gettysburg. Just a couple of blocks west of the central square.
The food was excellent, with generous portion sizes and reasonable prices. The menu offered a great variety, though it was missing fried chicken. Our server was adequate; he was attentive but didn’t engage much in conversation. A smile and a more personable approach would have enhanced the experience. I attempted to chat with him, but he seemed shy—perhaps he just needs a bit more confidence. The service was a bit slow, particularly in bringing out the appetizer, which could be a sign of staff shortages like many places are experiencing these days. Overall, it felt like a step above a typical diner, and I would definitely return. Parking was sufficient on site.
