The service was outstanding. Nick provided exceptional care throughout our meal. I shared my dietary restrictions, and my food was served without any problems. We will definitely be stopping by the Dunlap again for another Delmonico the next time we pass through Gettysburg. I give the Dunlap restaurant an A for flawlessly preparing my Delmonico. My server, Nick, was courteous and recognized that I needed my steak cooked without butter. I received exactly what I requested, and the steak was excellent.
The food was excellent, with generous portion sizes and reasonable prices. The menu offered a great variety, though it was missing fried chicken. Our server was adequate; he was attentive but didn’t engage much in conversation. A smile and a more personable approach would have enhanced the experience. I attempted to chat with him, but he seemed shy—perhaps he just needs a bit more confidence. The service was a bit slow, particularly in bringing out the appetizer, which could be a sign of staff shortages like many places are experiencing these days. Overall, it felt like a step above a typical diner, and I would definitely return. Parking was sufficient on site.
I don't like to leave negative reviews but, sorry to say the food just isn't as good as it used to be. We usually go here or to the Lincoln diner for breakfast (hotel breakfast not my thing) when in town but the last couple times it wasn't at all good. They are probably like everyone else and can't get enough help but making bacon and eggs isn't that hard.
Service was great! Food was good. Got seated right away at our reservation time.
I went to Dunlap's today for the first time during my visit in Gettysburg and I was IMPRESSED! We were greeted and seated immediately. Drinks were served instantly within 5 minutes from when we placed the order. Food was served in about 15 20 minutes. Michelle was on top of her game she was very attentive active and friendly. I had ordered the veggie omelet and it was spectacular! I felt as if I am at home enjoying a very delicious meal away from home.Overall experience:Excellent environment, friendly service, great menu choices, decent food and affordable prices. Dunlap's is a must stop while in Gettysburg.
