I ordered the stuffed portobello mushrooms without the aioli and cheese, and they were still incredibly flavorful and hearty! The mushrooms were quite large, and since I'd already eaten earlier, I only finished one and took the other home with me. I also had the sweet potato fries, which were waffle-style. While I would have preferred them to be a bit crispier, they were still tasty.
I had planned to try the veggie burger, but unfortunately, it contained both milk and eggs. Instead, I chose the blue gray salad with avocado and the sweet potato waffle fries. The server was very helpful and was willing to check the ingredients, which I appreciated, but there really weren't many options available besides a basic tossed salad.
Although there were no vegan options on the menu, I requested a vegan burger from the waiter, and they happily accommodated my request. Paired with fries and drinks, I enjoyed a satisfying meal. Just don't expect a wider variety of vegan choices.
I like simple options. Always happy when sweet fries and broccoli are available !
It is possible to get any of their impressive selection of burgers with a veggie burger rather than beef. However, due to the variety of cheese and bacon (or pulled pork, ham or brisket on most of them, it makes more sense to just make it easy and order the veggie burger (minus the aioli... sigh off the sandwich menu. I know I could ask to have things modified, but honestly I prefer to keep things simple because special orders can get messed up and then it has to go back to the kitchen and become more of an ordeal. There's also a Portobello wrap but that has aioli as well. So, to review, there is nothing for vegans to order straight off the menu. You can definitely eat here if you're in the mood for a dry veggie burger or a dry portobello wrap (bring your own sauce? , but you're going to have to ask for it to be made special. Sometimes after a long day I just want to go somewhere to eat and have it not be complicated, and sadly that's didn't happen here. Will we go back? Probably not. I can make better veggie burgers myself at home.
