Food was great and tasty, had the grilled octopus and was better than my expectations, cheese cake was disappointing But overall experience was great
By chance we picked this restaurant out as being in a suitable location around Northern Getafe for our quick access on the way back to the airport. How lucky we were! Saturday lunch was busy in the bar area and we were the first to enter the restaurant at 13:30, having been served a lovely ice cold drink and complimentary tapas dish which was a generous portion of paella. We weren 't the last and obviously because the 'locals ' or regular customers knew what to expect. Specials on the menu in each course and although each dish didn 't look very much in quantity, it was very filling at the end which proves that the right ingredients cooked well is better than a plateful of 'just food '. Our choices included scallops (the best I 've had), grilled Italian cheese topped with mushrooms and shaved truffles, Seared Bonito with seasonal (black thin) mushrooms and Lamb shoulder (forearm pieces) that fell off the bone. Desserts were equally heavenly and with the drinks and coffee, we had the most perfect lunch. I must mention the very friendly and patient servers who waited for me to digest and comprehend their Spanish and respond accordingly! They were excellent and made the day very special in addition to the fantastic kitchen and chefs.
Where do I even begin. Amazing experience. I actually came back to back days and tried pretty much the entire menu. From Burrata to a Pig Ear Burrito. Starting with the octopus. You won’t even need a knife for it because of how tender it is. The oxtail cannoli was unbelievable. Mi favorite dish was the Morcilla Ravioli. Thin ravioli packed with morcilla stuffing and smothered with a piquillo pepper sauce. They throw some fried onion strings on top that adds that nice crunchy texture. Really, any item on the menu you can’t really go wrong here. Service was impeccable, and the staff is very knowledgeable with the menu. Not to mention the by the glass selection. Wines from all over Spain that they pair beautifully with the food. A must try in Getafe!
Everything is great. The bill went up for the wines we ordered. If not, the expense would be 50 euros per person Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €60–70 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Callos A la Madrileña
I had expectations to try the dishes and without being disappointed, the experience fell short. Of the two dishes that I ordered, one seemed spectacular, but the other did not meet expectations. Correct service, prices according to quality. I will be back to try more things. The letter is original and I think it deserves good reviews. Service: Dine in
