There is even a place where you can... read more Hotel Fähri was a very nice place to spend the night. On the balcony of the room you have a beautiful view of Lake Lucerne. There is even a place where you can go into the water for a cooling dip. Hotel Fähri is a great base for visiting everything. The rooms are in excellent condition. Beds sleep well. Bathroom is nice with a good shower. Food in the restaurant is superb. Breakfast was completely fine. The hostess is very friendly and helpful. All in all we had a great stay.

We were finally able to order! 2 coffees, 1 Coupe... read more The older serving daughter walked past us empty about four times, even though she wanted to clean the table... We were finally able to order! 2 coffees, 1 Coupe Denmark and two scoops of Clace. Then she first brought us the return money from the guests from the next table. Afterwards the guests' drinks were behind us and she didn't know anything about our two coffees. By the way, the table was still dirty and when I asked again about our coffees and she said we hadn't ordered them, we got up and left. In the neighboring village we received our dessert as ordered! Ferry Gersau NEVER MORE!

We booked 3 nights for our honeymoon in April 2022 and was looking f... read more Absolutely terrible and disappointing. We are surprised at the good reviews this place get. We booked 3 nights for our honeymoon in April 2022 and was looking forward to the stay. Firstly the room was dirty. When we noticed cigarette butts and grime on the balcony, the lady staff shrugged it off, saying “Oh the wind always blows things in.” Secondly the lady staff was extremely unhelpful and unfriendly. For example, if we asked to pack the remainder breakfast so as to not waste food, she will say that she cannot. If we feedback to her to cut down on the breakfast amount, she will say that she had already prepared. The breakfast servings were prepared by her (not ala-carte nor self service), and a large amount of food was wasted. She also did not help with directions for the bus or cruise but asked us to go to the tourist information booth which was still a distance away. Lastly, the staff asked during our booking if we will like fruit basket or champagne as it was our honeymoon. Thinking it was a nice gesture by the hotel to give a complimentary gift, we chose champagne. We were terribly shocked when the hotel charged us 95 CHF for it at the end of our stay. The cost was NOT informed to us. The exact champagne cost only €19 online. We had a very unpleasant stay. Strongly do not recommend anyone to stay here.
