for the first time thanks to a teamman here. immigrated and had excellent customer service, great convo and a few laughs! I have the burrito, and let's just say it's worth it. However, I will say that the place needs a face elevator / remodel was a little dirty grungy looking. View all feedback.
What Ronaldo Torp dislikes about Java Cafe:
Absolutely horrible customer service. I cannot really pin point the reason for the rudeness other than my appearance. Even the responses to the negative reviews are defensive and reflective. No accountability is taken, ever! With an approach like that to potentially paying customers, they will see their profits plateau. Unfortunate for such a cute place. ?? View all feedback.

Just ate here for the first time and I will be back. The people were kind and seemed to work well together and respect each other. My John’s Italian Wrap and Turtle Iced Coffee were delicious! I didn’t even get a picture bc I was so ready to eat it lol I was not expecting such a large coffee for that price!! Amazing!
Great place for takeout but has went downhill from what I remember it as a child on the inside. Definitely not a nice deli vibe to sit in unless you go on the patio outside the chaotic boxes and disorganization inside. Food and sandwiches are great though.
I always try local as much as possible. Have been in and out over the years. But coffee is weak. Almost tea-like.
I really wanted to love this place as it is locally owned and very convenient to walk to. That said, sadly, based on our three visits, this is one of of the most overrated places in Germantown. Put another way, this place is probably great for the average Germantown palette, but pales against really good coffee and breakfast places. The coffee drinks are average at best and not nearly to the quality you can find in other places such as City State, Belltower, Comeback and Jo-Jo's, for example. Frankly, if I can make a better latte at home it is not worth buying one there. The breakfast burrito was bland and the pastries just average. Full disclosure: while we have been there three times, it has been over three years since our last visit. Again, I really wish I could rate this place higher, and make it a regular stop, but the ratings given are not indicative of the quality we experienced. That said, your results may vary and you should try for yourself to make up your own mind as I think locally owned business deserve our support. I may return for another visit to see if things have changed and if so I will adjust my review.

Great place! If you haven't been here, miss yourself on one of the most charming secrets in Germantown! Great food and even better people! Germantown is a better place for Java Cafe.
Love this place!!! Something loud inside, but we had a delicious breakfast outside. I had the bagel with cream cheese, lax and tomatoes, YUM. I'm back.
Friendly people and good food. A wide selection including healthy choices. I enjoy the atmosphere. It's fun, but be patient during lunch. It's worth it. Congratulations to a long restaurant that gets it! I wish you could pick up cashiers without pre-order, but understand that reason.
