After visiting St Francis Xavier Cathedral we decided to stop at the Piazza for lunch. Apparently it had only recently opened and everything inside was clean and sparkly. The staff was young and very helpful. Even though it was quite busy we did not have to wait long for our meals. We all decided on grilled fish, salad and chips and the meal was very nice. We would recommend this establishment. View all feedback.
Had a very nice burger and iced chocolate here for lunch, good for a quick stop, they also had a nice array of sweet looking things that I didn't try!
Loved the atmosphere and decor. Breakfast with family and looking forward to the experience, very excited. Coffees arrive, had to ask for sugar and teaspoons, average taste also need to have a soy milk that is liked for non dairy drinkers. Breakfast comes and presentation excellent. Shame about my poached eggs that were like little rocks, and meal was just warm. One family member had pancakes but no berries, when asked apologised and said they did not have any berries, what the hell, a 2 minute walk to Woolworths by a staff member to buy fresh berries would have been good service or told before ordering would have been good, to their credit they did refund $5.00 for missing berries, was like here you go, now shut up. We were served our meals but had to wait while a staff member brought over the cutlery and serviettes. My breakfast was a good size and bacon was amazing and for $19.95 good serving.
Dear management, please take all of this as constructive criticism so that the place can actually improve.I've eaten here numerous times to "give it a chance" and not once has it actually been enjoyable. The first time I kept it simple and ordered a homemade gourmet sausage roll takeaway. Once I got back to work I realized they had given me a really soggy pumpkin sausage roll instead. I tried to eat it but it was revolting and I threw it in the bin. Well that was a waste of $8. $8 for a sausage roll? I know!Fast forward through some weird tasting toasted sandwiches which were toasted with the salad inside (tip: toast the rest and then add the salad after), vegetable "lasagne" with hardly any pasta sauce or white sauce, and overpriced watery ice coffee and we get to the most recent time which was the most baffling.I ordered a croissant and as I made my way back to work I noticed it felt soggy. Instead of toasting it or baking it so the pastry is crisp, it had been MICROWAVED. Who microwaves a croissant to cook it? That's like someone ordering a toasted sandwich and so you microwave a regular sandwich and hand it to them like "here you go". It was so, so soggy! That's almost insulting, If I was Gordon Ramsay would you dare serve that to me?Even a roadhouse knows how to cook a croissant. It takes a lot of stuff ups to get a review like this from me so I'm hoping management will take note and spend the money on an actual chef. I look forward to returning to an improved menu in the future.
A beautiful new building in a lovely location, with easy parking, a simple menu and good service - this cafe is suitable for all occasions and I've heard rumours they are considering catering for weddings on site.
Very new biulding. Quite different to cathedral next door. Food lacking in imagination. Staff friendly and chatty
