Long wait for the food, but a gigantic selection of drinks
A very good and tasty restaurant. I'm deducting a star for the appetizer; I've never eaten such thick, spicy meat in my life (it was simply too thick). I understand that they sometimes don't have all types of beer, but they had four of my beloved lagers, which wasn't too annoying. However, I was most disappointed with the service at the end. Perhaps I'm spoiled by Croatia, where you always get a complimentary shot, but with five people and over €20 in tips, it should be possible to offer a free shot. Prices are unfortunately quite high; they could be more accommodating to their customers. Personally, I wouldn't come back.

A wonderfully pleasant atmosphere and extremely friendly, helpful people. We were only there for a relatively short time before our train departed, but we left with the certainty that we must return to Gera and have a proper meal there. The coffee was delicious and, as we were told upon inquiry, comes directly from the roastery.

Unfortunately, my breaded cauliflower was very dense and lacked seasoning. My turkey schnitzel had bloody threads, unfortunately this was not taken into account and the full price was deducted. The seasoned meat was homemade and tasty, and the schnitzel with beans and fried potatoes was ok. The schnitzels, whether turkey or pork, are just very thick. In the end I wouldn't go there again because there are much better restaurants in Gera that are much cheaper.
Actually an inconspicuous place. The service was totally friendly! There were 9 of us and everything was done to get us a place. Extremely comfortable!!! We sat outside. I've never seen a drink menu like this (there were actually 2). There is definitely no way you can drink it up or down in one go. only cash payment possible. Which I totally welcome!!! Bürgerw was very average. But sinks selection is amazing and well priced. Definitely a good meeting spot for a drink before or after some travelling.
Nice place, good food, very nice people an so many kinds of Beer. I can still feel it.
Before ordering the drinks a Polish waiter came to us that if one of us is sick in the bathroom, they will include the cleaning fee in our invoice. Not sure where these assumptions came from, maybe it is against foreigners in general....Other staff was super unfriendly and rolled eyes with any order. While ordering drinks at the bar, the waiter asked why? I had to order drinks. Seriously? Repair your attitude people...

Great bar! Never seen such a selection of international beers! Great drinks, great beer and a great ambience. Very nice owner who lives for his bar. If it wasn't that far away, we would like to come more often.
