I love the burgers at this place and the list of toppings is awesome. Very good value for the money but get lots of napkins and don't try to eat it while driving, it can be gloriously messy ! View all feedback.

Not impressed at all. Good fries. Weak burger. Very much a fast food style fake tasting patty. A&W is head and shoulders above it. Not what I expected from their slogan and write up. Decent bun and toppings. View all feedback.

My order consisted of a "Heavy Hitter" and a poutine ( Total $19.05) now at this price for a single meal I would expect a great eats. On this particular visit this was not the case. Upon arrival 8pm there was a family of 3 in front of me and took about 10 minutes to be able to order which was understandable. After placing my order I was about 15 minutes for my meal to be cooked and no other patrons ordering behind me. From a customers prospective it seemed as if the personal conversations between the cooks were more important than actually making the food. I received my food after the gentleman turned around and noticed that I was at the counter waiting. I ate my poutine first which was nice and hot and the curds were plentiful. The burger however was less than satisfying . Condiments were portioned correctly so the burger was not messy. But I did note that there was absolutely no char or evidence of the meat being cooked just grey rubbery in consistency - similar to cooking in a microwave and I'm sure this was not the case but I have never had this from any Hero Burger franchise including this one before. At this point I was going to return it but noticed that there were quite a few patrons lining up and due to new wait time & hunger levels considered I figured a little ketchup I could have managed my way through... and there it was a big long hair 8 inches or so coiled up in the condiments inside the burger. I get that these things can happen but it is little unsettling and nauseating. I waited a few minutes to avoid other customers hearing my complaint out of respect of the business. I approached the counter with my claim and the lady at the front politely went on the defence noting that she had not been in the kitchen and it could have been the morning staff? Okay once again cool, can I have a new burger? She asked a gentleman with a beard to come from his conversation and eating in the back to tell him of my issue. He told me that there is nothing he can do and i can contact head office as he is not a manager? Really Hero burger, you cannot make it right for your customer on the spot? It certainly was not my hair as I have less than a 1/2 inch of hair . Why must i be forced to pay a high end price just to either eat it or leave it? Is this really the customer mandate for dealing with your customers? This restaurant is literally the only stop open from Barrie to Parry Sound that is open at this time of night. Not happy with this visit.Honourable mention to the staff at the Pizzaville not only did I have to buy a slice to fill the void the lady overheard my complaint and promptly called her manager noting that Pizzaville , Pita Pit, and Hero Burger all have the same franchisee owner. She informed me that the owner was going to make a call to Hero Burger to see what the issue was. I did not receive any follow up from her but did enjoy my slice of pepperoni pizza

I love Hero Burgers and my husband and I eat there every few weeks, so as not to wear out our welcome...their hamburgers with their new poppyseed buns are so good, I add nothing to it, but my husband loads his with onions and relish...even their onion rings are outstanding. Good job, Hero!
On our way to Perry Sound we wanted a quick bite. Just off the highway we saw a Hero Burger in Port Severn which sounded like a quick stop. Not so much. It has great selection such as gluten free or vegetarian which is great. The service was worse than bad. We were second in line and so all seemed well. We gave our order of one combo burger (including drink and fries) and a separate fry order. The clerk could not get that into her head. She kept ordering separate drink and fries for the combo and my fry. I kept saying does not the combo include a large drink and fries. She would say yes, then still keep adding another drink and fry. Remember - we only wanted to share the large combo drink and each have our fries and my hubby his burger. Finally she realized her error. Then she gave me the debit machine. The total was $29. and change for the one combo and a fry. So I refused to process as this obviously was not correct. She then said OK and did something to the machine - now everything on the till went defunct and it would not work. This also buggers up the cook menu so no cooking was taking place while one of the other(all elderly staff) cooking staff came out to help her fix the till and reboot. Once this lengthy process completed I paid (approx. $20) so still hefty. We continued to wait for the food now to be prepared. Then they made the wrong order from the previous customer already gone. Then while I watched her pack our order she was missing one of the fries. Needless to say the entire process took 40 minutes. Most of the people behind us left for one of the other venues in the plaza. I can assure you we wish we had done this as well. So the result - super burger? Not so much, my hubby tells me and fries- well they are fries so sorry Hero Burger - not making a return.
