Was Beth Wood at El Monumento a mag?
Great service from our waiter during Sunday brunch. Salsas very good esp the tomatillo. Black bean dip good but needed salt. Nice touch in guacamole with fresh fruit and pepitas. Chips warm and crunchy. Food was fresh and presented well but needed salt. Prices too high, though, compared to other restaurants. View all feedback.

What H J Nieuwdorp dislikes about El Monumento:
I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant due to the terrible customer service. The waitstaff came across as rude and arrogant, showing no genuine concern for us as customers. They did the absolute bare minimum to assist us. I went for brunch and had a disappointing experience. The service was unfriendly, and the food was just average. I couldn't even order tacos due to the complicated rules surrounding different taco options. The French press coffee, which used to be better, is now just average. Overall, I spent $108 and didn’t feel like it was worth it. I won't be going back.

This review is long overdue. My husband and I first went here in 2016 and fell in love with their upscale Mexican dining. Best queso ever! And delicious tacos NOT drowning in cheese, but instead sprinkled with onions and cilantro….AS IT SHOULD BE. My husband loves shrimp quesadillas from here and won’t order them anywhere else because these are the best. And I have to give a huge shout out to John. He first waited on us in 2017 and while we don’t go out as often as we wish, we always have a lovely time when he’s taking care of us. So, go and ask to sit with John, and don’t skip on the delicious apps and cocktails! Oh, and El Monumento a request? Please bring back the churros, if not on the menu, at least as a frequent special! Gracias!

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant due to the terrible customer service. The waitstaff came across as rude and arrogant, showing no genuine concern for us as customers. They did the absolute bare minimum to assist us. When we were seated at a table in direct sunlight, we were informed that there were no other tables available, despite there being several similar tables nearby. The waiter offered little help in resolving this issue; his only suggestion was to check out and go back to the front desk to reassign our seating. His attitude was unacceptable and he clearly didn’t want to be there. I won’t be returning to this place. I recommend spending your money somewhere that values you as a customer instead of treating you like an inconvenience.
