River Room - Georgetown
River Room
Description
The River Room in Georgetown offers a charming atmosphere with great service, but mixed reviews on the food. Some dishes, like the Herb Grouper and Rib-eye, were hits while others, like the salmon and 801 burger, fell short. The seafood platters were a highlight, recommended by locals. Overall, the restaurant sits right by the marina, providing a beautiful setting for meals. With a good beer selection, fresh and delicious food, and friendly staff, it's a worthwhile stop for those traveling near Georgetown.

We chose to have dinner at a delightful restaurant located by the intercoastal in downtown Georgetown, as we were in the mood for seafood. After looking up menus online, three of us settled in for our meal.
The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and the service was decent. Unfortunately, I was let down by the food. I ordered the salmon with grits, but the broiled salmon lacked flavor and did not meet my expectations.
We had dinner there last night, Friday, December 22nd. The 801 burger was disappointing; it was dry and hard to cut with a fork. The French fries seemed like they had been left under a heat lamp for too long and didn’t taste fresh.
The server was attentive and had a lovely Southern accent. While we didn?t sit by the window this time like we have previously, there?s a great view of the harbor. The food was delicious and I look forward to giving them my business again in the near thefuture.
