Our frequent breakfast stop, many good Penang foods to offer. We usually get the CKT, grouper cha ho fun and wonton Mee. The ah pong and hokkien mee are quite popular as well. View all feedback.
A cafe in a hospital? and it Coffee Bean Tea Leaf. Kudos to whoever's thought of it. Haha. They serve nicely brewed coffee cold, hot or even ice blended with whipped cream add on if you desire it. There are wide selection of cakes and biscuit too. Do try out their homemade chicken pie. They are super yummy with their flaky crust and juicy savoury filling. If you prefer something hearty, no worries as they do serve spaghetti, lasagna, pizza, sandwich and also Bánh mì (vietnamese sandwich). There is even American breakfast too. Haha Lots of seating place with a clean and relaxing atmosphere to chill. Staff are friendly and polite too. Overall a good place to chill while waiting for your doctor appointment. Haha
If you're not in the rush, go there after 11am then you don't have to wait long for table, plenty available. Char Koay Teow really good but a bit oily for me Char Hor Fun normal, I think the only one with grouper fish meat in Penang.
Coffee tastes just ok, CKT not too bad. Paos and roast pork a bit disappointing. Tables were empty during late morning. Just 2 tables occupied.
This is my favorite kopitoam for local breakfast. The standout dish was the 100 years old claypot apom manis, a must-try delicacy. These apom manis were perfectly crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside, with a simple yet satisfying taste. I couldn't resist having more than five pieces! It's wonderful to see the next generation taking over the legacy. The Hokkien Mee was also delicious, and the Fried Kuey Teow was a pleasant surprise, especially when topped with siham for an extra RM4. Additionally, the stall outside the kopitiam offers a variety of delectable bao, radish cake, and kuih. The radish cake, in particular, stood out as one of the best in town. Overall, this kopitiam offers a memorable breakfast experience with its diverse and mouthwatering offerings.
Housed multiple stores. Fried noodles with duck egg is really exceptional. Enjoyed every bite of it. One of the best i had. I also tried noodle soup (from a different store) . Broth made from prawn's shells was umami .
