This restaurant uses sixth-generation family gas waffle irons to make their Brussels waffles. Locals from Flanders typically order the classic waffle with butter and powdered sugar. I decided to try the Max waffle, which is a delightful mix of fresh fruit, Grand Marnier, whipped cream, and powdered sugar. It was beautifully presented and absolutely indulgent!

The decor has been preserved beautifully, transporting you to another era. Be sure to try Max's famous waffles - you won't regret it. They also have a store next door, unfortunately closed on Sundays (but that just means you'll have to come back!). The attentive servers take good care of you and can speak English. The menu is available in multiple languages, including French.
