They were cold and dismissive - not sure if it was because we were American. The decor is very cute and the beignets served with chantilly cream are delicious. The tea was also presented in a cute way.

The decor has been preserved beautifully, transporting you to another era. Be sure to try Max's famous waffles - you won't regret it. They also have a store next door, unfortunately closed on Sundays (but that just means you'll have to come back!). The attentive servers take good care of you and can speak English. The menu is available in multiple languages, including French.
