for years I wanted to come to try this restaurant in a beautiful corner that preserves the characteristics of the old genova and I found much more than I expected. great menu, very cozy place, impeccable service will definitely return. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Cornabuggia:
eating is good, but we had a very bad experience with the owner who was not polite at all and made us complain that after eating we ordered too many limoncellos. an absolutely unexpected reaction that felt very bad to us...and not welcomed. not the usual Italian atmosphere. View all feedback.

This place was completely randomly found and a table reserved 15 minutes before opening. it is quite small in the inner, but fortunately we sat in the fresh Ligurian air, next to some native. the menu is really tiny, with only about 15 dings on the...board that the waiter carried around the tables to cross the dings out of the way the ingredients ran out. had a delicious tagliatelle with half a lobster for a very reasonable amount of cash, but the highlight for me was the dessert, especially torte di nonna a lemon filled wonder, with pine nuts and beautiful teig. go and eat them in this restaurant when it is the only thing they do in genoa.
Trattoria cornabuggia is located near the carmine market, on the small square, finally free from cars. the service is careful, but they must wait for the right time. we tasted grilled otopus on aubergine purea, very tasty and brandacouiun, fish and kartoffel mixed, and...typical genoise capponmagro from cold fish and vegetables with green sauce. we have fried porcini mushrooms, very savory, my favorite. the dessert are very good from classic torte tatin with hot cream and apple and meringues cake with chocolate. a bottle of white wine and lilac, the right price, in which did!
We went last Friday night to la cornabuggia with our friends and had a nice dinner. the restaurant is located on a quiet piazza and can find a little tricky if they don't know the opposite, but is good worth it. the menu. is a list on a board, and although there were only 10 or so elements on the menu, it was quite difficult to decide how they all sound amazing. local specialties such as the brandacujun (salt fish and kartoffeln,) the filet of john dory, the fried mushrooms and the seafood trofie were all delicious. we had a starter to share, and a main course everyone, and then a plate of local cheese divided with honey, plus had wein and beer and the meal total around €25 each, so really great worth for money. the staff was friendly and attentive, and there was a warm atmosphere. the restaurant is closed on Mondays and donsdays by the look of it on both nights we stopped at the bar next door (l'8rosso) for drinks and aperitivo. the drinks are cheap and they bring them really tasty snacks so much that they don't really have dinner after!
Eat well, his land that sea! attentive and kind staff!
