As a Japanese living in Geneva, this is one of the very few places to buy Japanese foods in the city. And they also have some sushi and deli stuff (croquettes, Nikuman, etc.) as well as bentos, which you can eat in the store (there is seating). I agree with other reviewers that their sushi is good. Uchitomi is equipped with a good selection of east asian food and products but mainly japanese. Most staff were friendly but one staff - middle-aged lady - was particularly grumpy and accepted only few limited menu that is easy to make for them. Very good store for all Japanese products. There is a lot of variety there. The only downside is the prices which are very expensive. Other Japanese stores offering the same products are cheaper. So compare carefully before buying
There's only good stuff but azyyyy it's expensive
The best Japanese grocery store in Geneva. You find everything (or almost). While surfing the internet you come across a recipe that you really want. You will find all the ingredients. They also have Japanese dishes and kitchen utensils. There is also a wide choice of sake and spirits. There is labeling in French for the products.
It's a nice place in general, for take-away, eat-in or even grocery shopping. However, there is this one staff who is very unpleasant every time I go there. I actually hesitated several times before going there, asking myself whether I really have to shop there...risking that I might end up ruining my mood by interacting with this person.
Convenient and trendy to visit for a sushi and japanese snacks. they have a variety of items and is spacious. ณัฐภาณุ นพคุณ
