Despite tremendous footfall and constant demands on their attention, the team handled every guest with unrivaled grace and efficiency. Carla, who immediately understood my existing collector relationship with the Miami boutique, could have easily assumed the conversation was short-lived. Instead, she welcomed me with genuine warmth and helped me fully absorb the environment I had come to experience — F.P. Journe in Geneva. She seamlessly balanced her responsibilities while still carving out time for meaningful conversations about the watches, the craftsmanship, and her own passions. There was nothing rushed, nothing transactional — just sincerity and enthusiasm. I enjoyed it so much that I found myself returning the very next day, despite only being in the city for four. Many brands talk about culture — the watch, the founder, the legend — but here you actually feel it, not just outside in the product, but inside: in the way the employees take pride, speak with ownership, and share in something bigger. It’s a passionate work environment that seems to treat employees as stakeholders but stays fair by allocating watches to them too like its clients. And that says as much about a company as the finishing on a tourbillon bridge ever could.
