We had a reservation for 8:30 pm, when we were sat at our table at 8:36 pm the hostess came back up to us and said “I am sorry but the restaurant is closing so you need to put in your orders now” why do they take reservations at 8:30 pm and 8:45 pm if they are going to rush their customers out on a Saturday night? It was very obvious we were not welcome. Someone came up to us every 5 minutes asking if we were done. I was actively chewing and some one tried to take my plate away from me. In addition, we ordered 3 burgers done medium rare and they all came out at different temperatures. To make matters worse, they locked us in and we had to jump a gate to get off the property (and then got yelled at by an employee). Will never be back.. looks like a nice view though! We left very disappointed in the quality of food considering the cost and will unfortunately not be recommending this restaurant to others for future visits. We sprung for $18 Brie topped with honey and almonds and served with apple slices and toasted bread (instead of a $7 half-loaf of bread). $21 for a Caesar Salad with grilled chicken (overcooked). $31 for one piece of Parmesan crusted walleye, a small side of mashed potatoes and steamed vegetable medley. The bill after tax and tip was near-$100 and I’ve had much better meals elsewhere for that price. The views of the lake are fine, our server was very good and probably a high point of our meal, and most of the food was tasty but the price tag was the hardest pert of our meal to swallow.
