Carols Seafood Steak - Geneva

I stopped by this restaurant in September for dinner and sampled the fried pickles and Ribeye steak. Both the pickles and steak were excellent. The service was satisfactory, but my only issue was the noticeable smoke from the kitchen that drifted into the dining area. I’m sure I’ll return, as there aren’t many dining options in the area.

This restaurant is quite small, and the food leaves much to be desired. Additionally, the owner, Carol, has been noted for her racist attitudes and her unwelcoming stance towards children. I strongly advise against visiting this establishment.

If you're looking for an amazing steak, you must check out Carol's! You definitely won't be let down. The atmosphere feels cozy and welcoming, the staff and owners are friendly and personable, and, best of all, the food is delicious and expertly prepared!

My elderly mother and my teenage son, who has Asperger's, were asked to leave the restaurant after Carol got upset because my son mentioned he liked a salad from a different restaurant.

I had the grilled shrimp with cheese grits and fried okra. It was pretty good. The shrimp were just a little chewy, but they had a great taste. I wasn't a huge fan of the hush puppies though. My son had the cheeseburger and fries. They were good, but nothing special.
