I think too many covers and too little/poor trained staff is a recipe for unsatisfactory customers. it is not a cheap formal so we expect better, especially as we have been here many paintings. the times are difficult to personalize at the moment, but then they need to reduce their covers and take the hit if they want to keep their masters. as always excellent eating and we will give it another try.

Maybe because it was bastille day, the restaurant was completely full and the service was terrible. a young man who served us nothing from the menu or the wee. the a la carte menu is very small. the price is high and is at least 50% above the average for the surface.

It was the best meal we had during our three-week visit to... read more We stayed in nearby Vains in October 2025 and happened upon La Pause Des Genets, much to our delight. It was the best meal we had during our three-week visit to France. Three of us had the beef and the other one had the duck and all were cooked to perfection. Everything seemed fresh and locally sourced. The staff was engaging and good-naturedly suffered our horrible French. If you are in this area of Normandy, we highly recommend La Pause Des Genets.
