Le Pélican - Geneston

I was taken to this restaurant last week , which is in a small village about twenty minutes outside Nantes. The decoration is modern contemporary and looks high quality, the food was even better. The restaurant was not too big, and it felt quite special as a result that said it was quite relaxed with one small family with and their 3 year old daughter adding to the very pleasant atmosphere....I 'm not sure my kids would have behaved as well as she did! The service was superb with all courses being explained as they were served, and with the food arriving seemingly in perfect time as I don 't recall actually ever 'waiting '....the plated simply arrived at the right time. An amuse bouche arrived ahead of the starter which set the scene for the rest of the meal. I can 't really explain what a Creme brulee with Foie gras tastes like other than superb. The other item was a crab mouse thing which was also very good. My starter, also Foie gras was good but the main course, a cassolette of St Jacques and Langoustines in an Armangnac, was truly superb which was the opinion of my French colleague too. All in all a pleasurable and memorable meal for all the right reasons, and I will look to bring my kids here now they are older, able to understand god food and can behave in public! Ohh and the bill....it was low enough for me to pay, and was happy to do it :

Accueil chaleureux,Déco épuré et surtout des mets qui donnent envies avant de les avoir goûtés.De l entrée au dessert tout est délicieux et sublimement présenté.

Un accueil sympathique, une cuisine agréable et raffinée.Je recommande pour un Déjeuner ou un dîner en famille
