What User doesn't like about Himmelblau:
I paid more than 10 EUR for a breakfast consisting of two poached eggs, a single loaf of bread, a small cappuccino, and what had to be the smallest glass of orange juice I have seen in my life.However, it is not the absurdly small portion that bothers me the most. Cafe Himmelblau is situated next to the Kutschkermarkt, and promoted as family friendly cafe on social platforms. For us it was a disappointment.The waiting time for ordering the food and serving the coffee was more than I ordered the garden beet breakfast. The chiaseed...yoghurt with forestfuits was ok, however it was served with a small portion of vegetables, and not very lovely arranged. The cafe was very full and as well very noisy. The diaper changing table in the rest room, was very unpleasant and very dusty. For us, it was definitely not family friendly.
It is often difficult to get a table at Himmelblau and with good reason. The space is light and bright and welcoming, the service is good, and the food is tasty. Weekend rush hour' seems to be around Outside of those times tables are...easier to come by. At any rate, the experience is worth the wait.
Seit meinem Besuch im Himmelblau (er liegt nun bereits eine Woche zurück) ist es mir ein großes Anliegen euch mein Lob auszusprechen! In Wien (und auch anderen Gegenden) gibt es leider nur noch selten so zuvorkommende und freundliche Kellner wie im Himmelblau. Eine Kollegin und ich waren zum Frühstück da. Wir bestellten auf Anfrage des Kellners eine Butter dazu, die er (es war wirklich viel los) vergaß. Ein Erinnerungsblick genügte und die Butter wurde im Eilschritt inkl. Entschuldigung nachgereicht und das auch noch kostenlos. Weiters wurde mir (ich hatte mein Frühstücksmenü nur überflogen, wie das bei plaudernden Frauen so ist) eine marmeladeaussehende salzige Tomatencreme serviert. Erst nach dem ersten Biss wurde mir die Verwechslung klar und ich meinte der Fehler läge beim Team Himmelblau. Als der nette Kellner mich aufgeklärt hatte, brachte er mir überraschenderweise ein liebevoll gestrichenes Marmeladenbrot. Nicht nur dass er dabei höflich blieb, obwohl der Fehler bei mir lag, er verwöhnte mich auch noch humorvoll und fröhlich. Es schien so als würde ihm sein Job große Freude bereiten. Das erlebt man selten in Wien. Hier ist der Gast König! Danke!
Absolut feines Kaffee. Selbstgemachter Kuchen vom Feinsten. Frau schmeckt die Liebe zum Detail. Es ist einzigartig, dennoch wünschte ich, es gäbe mehr davon
Sehr gemütliches Cafe mit einer tollen Atmosphäre, köstlichem Essen und super lieben Mitarbeitern! Kann nur jedem empfehlen vorbeizuschauen :
